Customer Reviews: Split Wall Mounted Air Conditioner
I bought this product after extensive research. It is excellent. With an A rating, it is very efficient and heats my home very quickly.
The problem is not with the product but with suppliers.
Suppliers that offer installation will charge in excess of a £1500 for delivering and installing. It is a scandal!
These air conditioners are one of the most energy efficient and `green' ways of heating our homes yet they are rarely used domestically in this country. (They can be found in most homes in Mediterranean countries).
I bought mine from a [...]. The price was good the serves anything but! I ordered and paid by phone, for two Inverter type air cons (they are the most efficient to operate), but was delivered two of these. Because of time limitations I decided to keep them. However, this model was £70 cheaper than the Inverter. So I'm due £140 refund. It took nearly a week to get any confirmation (so I had no proof of my original order) and after spending over £20 on calls (no call back and no reply to emails...) I am still waiting for the refund (despite repeated promises of `it will be done today').
So my advice is; buy `easy fit' products - they can be fitted by most capable electricians - or `DIY' ones, they can be fitted by a capable DIYer.
Don't be alarmed by talk of `regassing' and `purging' - do your research!
Try companies on Amazon as Amazon are very good at solving problems with suppliers(thank you Amazon!).
Don't be put off! Air conditioners are a fantastic and economical way of heating your home.

A great product. I installed the air con myself in our mobile home in France (where temperatures are reaching mid 30s at the moment!) and it has proven to be more than capable of providing us with a very comfortable climate.
The instructions provided were easy to understand although I had a couple of installation issues:
a) The manual says you should hear a sound of pressure being released when you undo one of the pipe connectors on the indoor unit. If not then there could be a problem.
b) the pre prepared copper pipe is easy to bend and you do have to be careful in that regard. Follow the instructions to the letter and you should be OK though. The only critiscism is that it comes in a roll and straightening it in a confined space was a real pain! The pipe also had a kink in it which wasn't visible until I cut the covering.
I contacted the guys at the airconditioning centre who advised me not to worry about the pressure issue and, after checking a photo of the kinked pipe, confirmed it would be OK. They were absolutely right and it's working perfectly. In fact they couldn't have been more helpful, giving me additional advice on the installation. It was really great, in these days of anonymous call centre "clones", to actually talk to people who knew their product and were able to provide on the spot assistance! I'd recommend them, and the product, any time.
This company has great customer service. I bought an air conditioner and had various queries and Andrew from Innovate was really helpful. It's great to deal with a company where you get through to someone who really wants to help rather than a voicemail or impersonal customer services who don't really care. Thanks Andy
